Douglas Green Jr., M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Green received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma.
He completed his internship in general surgery, his residency in
otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat specialty), and earned his
master's degree in biomedical sciences at the Mayo Graduate School of
Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Green completed a
fellowship in otology/neuro-otology at the internationally renowned
House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles, whose doctors developed the first
cochlear implant and a number of other new surgical techniques for the
ear.
He is involved in a number of clinical research trials,
particularly involving hearing aids and prostheses for otologic surgery;
has been published in numerous medical journals and authored clinical
book chapters; and has lectured nationally and internationally on his
specialty. He is involved in several professional associations,
including the Clinical Otologic Research Team and the Christian Society
of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Green, his wife, Kelley, and their
three sons have lived in Jacksonville since 1991 and are active in their
church.
