Audiologists in Jacksonville
Each of our audiologists has either a doctoral or a master’s degree in audiology and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association. In addition, our audiologists are all board certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA), and are Fellows of the American Academy of Audiology.

William J. Eblin, Jr., AuD., CCC-A
Dr. Eblin joined the JHBI Audiology team in May of 2008. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia and was awarded his Doctor of Audiology degree from Auburn University in 2009. He holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA), and is board certified by the American Board of Audiology (ABA). Dr. Eblin is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology Ethical Practices Committee.
Dr. Eblin’s clinical interests include vestibular assessment, electrophysiological testing, tinnitus assessment and management, hearing aids, and diagnostic audiology.
Jacqueline Olson, AuD., CCC-A
Upon completing her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2003, Dr. Olson immediately put her proficiency in American Sign Language to work as an educational audiologist at a school for the deaf in Northern Virginia. In 2006 she relocated to Jacksonville and worked in a pediatric clinical setting performing diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings. Dr. Olson was soon recruited by a global manufacturer of hearing aids to work as a product specialist and trainer, assisting with complex pediatric fittings. She joined the JHBI team in 2007 with specialties in diagnostic audiology and hearing aids and with a particular interest in new hearing aid technology and assistive listening devices.
Dr. Olson is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. She was awarded her Doctor of Audiology degree from Gallaudet University, the world’s only university in which all programs and services are specifically designed to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students. Dr. Olson has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association, is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is board certified by the American Board of Audiology.
Mary Jo Schuh, M.S., FAAA, CCC-A
Ms. Schuh is a board-certified audiologist with 28 years of experience in clinical testing and rehabilitation of children and adults. Her diverse experience includes developing, implementing and managing pediatric services as Chief Audiologist at Nemours Children’s Clinic Jacksonville for 15 years. Her focus is on pediatric and adult cochlear implants, and she earned a specialty certificate in cochlear implants from the American Academy of Audiology.
Ms. Schuh earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Florida and her master’s degree from Florida State University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association. Ms. Schuh is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a member of the Florida Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association.
Elizabeth Pearson, AuD., CCC-A, FAAA
Dr. Pearson is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Art degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She earned her Master of Science degree from the University of South Florida and was later awarded her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University.
She earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Pearson has worked in the field of audiology for 19 years and her specialties include diagnostic audiology and hearing aids, with a special interest in electrophysiological testing.
